MR Michael Clarke spoke to Todmorden Women's Institute about "My Little Black Book".
He is a professional toastmaster and has been a guest speaker for 27 years at weddings, dinners and various organisations.
This year he has already given 140 talks on subjects such as "The History of Chocolate" and "International Cuisine". He also mentioned his time working for the Post Office, when there were very strict rules about dress and behaviour. He was thanked by Mrs B. Marshall.
During the business section of the meeting, members voted for a resolution against the closing of community hospitals. This resolution will be put forward at the national federation annual meeting in June. Mrs A. Simpson presided.
