BALLOONS and bargains marked the first birthday of Overgate Hospice charity shop in Todmorden.
Visitors to the Halifax Road branch enjoyed a half price sale while youngsters were treated to sweets and games.
Co-manager Pauline Stafford said the the shop's first year of trading had been very positive.
"We've had really good support. People are very generous and the things they bring in are of very good quality.
"Our customers are very good too. Most people know somebody who has been in Overgate and the hospice would not be able to stay open without shops like this."
She added trade is steadily growing at the shop and there is a need for new volunteers.
If you are interested in volunteering please contact Marica Binns on 01422 379151.
