Do you agree over Jubilee?

I was disgusted to discover that the Labour Group on Todmorden Town Council have removed a budget provision for small grants to local schools and Institutions that was to have enabled applications to support Diamond Jubilee Celebrations in honour of our Queen.

A lifetime of servitude to our Country – unparalleled anywhere!

Are our Councillors elected to represent our opinions or their own?

I understand the issues around austerity but if we can afford it for Incredible Edible then why not for the Diamond Jubilee?

I would be interested in the views of others.

"Do you agree over Jubilee? " NO, if YOU wish to celebrate the Queen then do it. Do NOT expect ME to help pay for it. If I wish to celebrate vegetables then Incredible Edible would get my vote.
