Fox and Goose is up and running again

The Fox and Goose pub in Hebden Bridge has now reopened its doors after a short closure.

A community share offer has raised £131,000 to buy the historic hostelry, in Heptonstall Road, and turn it into West Yorkshire’s first co-operative pub. This meant there had to be a brief closure while landlady Julia Warren wound down her business.

A dedicated team of bar staff members has now pulled together to open a temporary bar, with manager Trevor Cobb as licensee, in order to keep the pub up and running until the community purchase goes through. In the meantime, the Fox and Goose Society which is buying the pub for the benefit of the community is keeping members informed by email, on Facebook and in the local media or you can visit www.foxandgoose.org for more information.
