THE last in a series of vintage craft fairs will take place at the Fielden Centre, Ewood Lane, Todmorden, on Sunday, August 5.
The fairs, which have been held on a monthly basis over the summer, feature a range of local artists and craftspeople.
Sunday’s showcase will also include a car boot sale, held in the grounds outside, following the success of the inaugural event.
Spaces for the car boot sale, whcih starts at 9.30am, can be booked for £5. The fair, which will also feature a tea room, will begin at 10am.
Jane Ward-Heyes, from organisers Kitty Couture, said it has been a successful series and hopes it concludes on a high note on Sunday.
“It’s gone really well,” she said.
“There’s been new people exhibiting each time. We have had some really nice vintage clothing recently.”
In addition to the regulars, Jane said they get new exhibitors attending at each event, adding some variety for visitors.
“It’s all about supporting local artists and craftspeople,” she said.
“I’m hoping that things will continue after this. It has been really nice getting together with other artists.”
Some of the proceeds from the fairs will be donated to Shade School.
“So far we have raised about £120 for the school,” Jane said.
“I’m hoping that the car boot sale will generate a bit more.”
