Tip-top for our tenth anniversary
The salsa class at the Dawn Chapman School of Dance
AFTER 12 months of renovation work, a Calder Valley dance school is looking forward to marking its tenth year in tip-top surroundings.
The Dawn Chapman School of Dance was able to buy the St John Ambulance Hall, Victoria Road, Todmorden, and since moving in last year the team have been working extremely hard to renovate the building.
They have restored original features and made improvements to create new spaces and utilise once disused rooms bringing the whole building back to life.
Dawn said: “We are now in the final stages of renovation and will continue to invest and improve the facilities.
“The building has disabled access, four working studios, a music room, kitchen facilities, baby changing and toilet areas with disabled access and reception and waiting areas. All areas can be used for a variety of purposes.
“Alongside our busy schedule of dance classes the rooms are also still used by local community groups including St John Ambulance and U3A.
“The DC team would love to see the building used as a hub for community activities,” she said.
