STUDENTS attended a special ceremony at Leeds Metropolitan University after successfully completing a course to prepare them for higher education and employment.

Year 13 students at Todmorden High School participated in the progression module scheme run by the university, which aims to help them investigate career options, market themselves, manage money and explore their future.

Each student had to complete a portfolio of work, which was marked by university lecturers.

High school student Laura Roche received an award for progress and Robyn Stansfield won an award for excellence.
