A special exhibition is running at Platform One Gallery, Todmorden railway station, in tribute to an artist who died last month.
Nikki Woodman, a former headteacher who became in artist in later life, passed away in September after battling motor neurone disease for several years.
As a mark of respect, fellow artists and friends have collated an exhibition of her paintings, which is running at the gallery until October 27.
Barry Sheridan, a friend of Nikki, said: “Despite the rigours of the illness, which was increasingly taking hold, she remained absolutely the most interesting, lively and passionate person you could hope to meet.
“I have spent 40 years working with artists and I don’t think I have seen anyone take so much pleasure from putting paint on canvas as Nikki.
“I think she is an absolutely remarkable woman and it’s a real privilege to be classed as one of her friends.”
The gallery is open Thursday to Sunday, 11am until 4pm.
Proceeds from sales of the artwork will be donated to several charities nominated by Nikki.
