The sound of Harleys as bikers rally to the cause

ENGINES were revved and leathers worn with pride for a charity biker procession.
More than 100 bikers from the Bridge Rats MCC joined the drive from Big D’s Cafe, Todmorden, to the Tia Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue Centre, Cragg Vale.
The group raised £450 for the centre, which rescues and rehomes stray, abandoned and ex-racing greyhounds and lurchers.
The money was raised through club donations, collection boxes and money from Pets and Home in Halifax and Dewsbury.
Emma Farrington, a Bridge Rat for 10 years, said: “It was a wonderful day with a fantastic atmosphere.”
Bridge Rat Trevor Knight, who organised the event said: It was brilliant to ride in convoy, with the whole club and everyone else joining in.”
Several differnt bike clubs from acorss Yorkshire turned up, with big-hearted bikers digging deep in their pockets for the cause.
Trevor said: “It’s our 15th anniversary this year so we’re looking to organise a few special events.”
