A second robbery in a week - Todmorden garage is target

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a robbery at Springs Garage, Halifax Road, Todmorden, on Boxing Day morning.
Three masked men entered the petrol station at 7.25am on Friday, December 26, and demanded cash.

A member of staff managed to push a panic button before he fled the garage unhurt.

The three men then broke into a back office looking for cash. They fled in a vehicle which had a fourth man waiting inside.

Anyone who was in the area at the time of the robbery or has any information about the incident is urged to contact PC Gavin Strachan in Calderdale CID on 01422 337089.

The incident was the second robbery in the town within the space of a week after a robbers struck at the Shepherd's Rest in the early hours of the Monday before Christmas.

- POLICE are also investigating reports of a burglary at the Mason's Arms, Bacup Road, Todmorden, overnight on Monday, December 22.

An amount of alcohol was taken and later found discarded nearby at Gauxholme.

Inquiries are ongoing and anyone who may have information about the incident should call Calderdale CID on 01422 337085.
