DIESEL thieves have been operating in Cornholme earlier this week, and police believe witnesses may have seen them at work.
Four wagons had a large amount of diesel stolen from their tanks overnight on February 24 and 25 while parked on a car park close to Oakleigh Terrace in Cornholme. Police say that because of the amount of fuel stolen it would have taken the offenders a considerable amount of time and someone may have seen something.

They would have had to use syphoning equipment and had a vehicle of their own.

Anyone with any information is asked to ring the officer dealing with the case, PC Dave Brown at Todmorden Police Station on 01422 318198 or by ringing Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
