A TODMORDEN schoolboy's knowledge of healthy eating has won him a prize in a council competition.
Calderdale libraries organised a competition about healthy eating this summer and nine-year-old Castle Hill School pupil Sam Dobie won a smoothie maker for being well-read on the subject.

He answered a series of questions on the topic, including identifying foods that are good for you and some which are bad for you.

Sam, who received his prize from librarian Roberta Crossley, said he likes smoothies and his prize was one which all the family could enjoy during the holidays.
