Talented student wins place

A TALENTED former Calder High School student has won a place at the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama in London to study for a BA Hons Acting degree,
For the last several years Paula Werritt, pictured right, has studied ballet, tap and modern dance with the Dawn Chapman School of Dance in Burnley Road, Lydgate, and the course she will now be taking will cover all aspects of acting with some dance and movement also involved.

Dawn Chapman said this week:”Everybody is very proud of her and wish her well for the future. We shall all miss her very much indeed.”

Paula currently lives in Blackshaw Head with her mother but is due to move to London later this month.
