A VILLAGE came out in force to support a charity coffee morning at the local primary school.
Parents and grandparents joined their youngsters at Cornholme School for cakes, coffee and tombolas at a successful Macmillan coffee morning, which raised £300.
"All the children have had their roles, especially the year six pupils, who have welcomed people into the school and run the tombola and raffle. Pupils have also brought in cakes and biscuits, prizes for the children's and adults' tombolas and flowers for the tables," said Joy Walker, year six teacher.
Wendy Green came along to spend the morning with her grand-daughter Isobelle, of class four and was impressed by the number of people who had turned out for the event.
