A Hebden Bridge singing group with a difference performed a concert after finding friendship and their voices.

The Thula Mamas group combines a place for mums of newborn babies to meet and share stories as well as sing.

Every week the group chat, drink tea, eat cake and sing harmony and lullabies with the loving support of the inspirational singer, teacher and choir leader Liz Powers.

The mothers sing to their babies, who enjoy the soothing environment and listening to the music.

Although they can only attend for a few short months while baby is young, Thula Mamas has created a community of women who have made some very special friendships.

A few of the group’s members joined choir leader Liz to create a concert of singing at Riverside School last month to their families and friends.

A collection at the event for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund raised £77.
