STUDENTS had a night to remember as they celebrated the end of their school days.
Year 11 and 13 students at Todmorden High and Calder High School, Mytholmroyd, put on the glitz and glamour for their proms.
Calder High’s sixth formers went for a meal at Berties in Elland.
The year 11 students rolled out the red carpet for an Oscars themed night at Liquid, Halifax, including an awards ceremony.
Nick Lumb, year achievement leader at Calder High, thanked the organisers for making it a fantastic celebration.
“The students were an absolute credit to Calder High and they all had a brilliant night,” he said.
“It was probably the best year 11 prom there has ever been, attended by more staff and students than ever before.
“It was an incredibly positive end to the year.”
Todmorden High’s year 11 students went to the Cedar Court Hotel, Ainley Top, for their prom, while the sixth formers headed to the Grinch in Manchester for their leaving do.
Philippa McNamara, from the school, said: “It was a really good night. Everybody enjoyed themselves.”
