COMPUTER expert Adam Brear and fashion designer Laura Ruxton were married at Rivington Hall Barn, near Horwich, Bolton, on Saturday, August 4.
Todmorden bridegroom Adam attended local schools before moving to Manchester to do a degree in Internet Computing and a masters in Computer Network Technology. He met fashion student Laura whilst on a tour of northern Europe, and travel continued to be part of their lives with Laura working for a design house in London and Adam working and writing in Manchester.
Despite recent bad weather the sun shone for most of the day. The bride was given away by her father, Ged Ruxton, and attended by bridesmaids Emma Blundell and Manisha Patel. The bridegroom’s nieces Katie and Abigail Hewett were flower girls.
The bride was radiant in deep red, and she made the bridesmaids’ dresses herself. Bouquets were made by the bridegroom’s mother Mrs Janet Brear. The bridegroom also joined in the creative approach by making the three tier chocolate wedding cake.
Best man Gary Coomber was helped by ushers Gary Chatfield, David Hewett, Jonathan Laycock and John Burgoyne.
The couple will honeymoon in Tunisia and live in West Didsbury, Manchester.
