ALL but one shop in Calderdale passed a test purchase operation conducted by the police.
Neighbourhood Policing Team officers checked 46 shops in the borough with the aim of cracking down on the illegal sale of alcohol to youngsters.
Inspector Derek Benn said: “I was pleased to find that all but one of the shops passed this operation. It is important that licensees and their employees understand the harm that selling alcohol to young people can do.
“Police will continue to work closely with licensees to offer guidance and support.”
