Todmorden’s businesses and services are ready to show what they have to offer.
Many of the town’s firms will have stands at the annual business showcase Made in Tod this weekend, giving people a chance to find out more about their products and services.
From garden centres to cheese makers, the full spectrum of the local business community will be on display at the event, running at Todmorden Town Hall on Saturday and Sunday from 10.30am until 4pm
Michael Uren, chairman of Todmorden Business Association, which organises the event, said: “We are all set and raring to go.”
Made in Tod has been widely promoted and organisers hope to attract many people through the doors this weekend.
“We are hoping for 2,000 people to come through the doors and see what the businesses of Todmorden have to offer,” Michael said.
In addition to the business stalls there will be a craft room, a selection of food and free ten-minute assessments by the Physio and Therapies team.
Rotary Club members will be manning the doors. Scouts will be serving tea and coffee, with all money raised going to support their projects.
Local authors Roger and Diane Quick will be running children’s activities and StoryMagic will present magic shows.
