A THEATRE group has other solutions for final week ticket sales as a popular sales outlet is temporarily closed for redecoration.
Todmorden Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society has telephone and online booking systems in place for Michael Gill’s directorial debut with bittersweet comedy Day of Reckoning, which runs at the Hippodrome Theatre from Wednesday, February 16, to Saturday, February 19 (7.30pm).
Many people get their tickets from Todmorden Tourist Information Centre in Burnley Road, but the building has been closed all week for some redecoration work, re-opening on Monday, Valentine’s Day, February 14.
Michael said: “The redecoration will be good for the TIC and they let us know about the closure in advance, so luckily we have other solutions available.”
“For those who cannot access the online booking service on the internet we have a telephone reservation system in place. People can ring the box office and reserve tickets over the phone and pay for them on the night.
“It is such a funny play and I think it will appeal to everyone, so it’s important that we make sure anyone who wants to see it can get tickets.”
Tickets are £6 for the Wednesday show, £8 for Thursday and Friday (£6 concessions), and all tickets are £8 on the Saturday. They are obtainable online at www.todhip.org or you can reserve tickets over the phone and pay for them on the night by ringing the box office on 07722 236837. Any unsold seats will be available on the door.
