Concerned residents are objecting to plans by waste processing company TEG Environmental Ltd to operate earlier on weekday mornings.
The company has applied to vary a planning condition to allow vehicle movements two hours earlier from the present 7am start.
It says this is to provide a required service for a municipal collection provider and would reduce vehicle movements through the day.
Angry residents have urged councillors to reject the application.
Among objections Calderdale Council’s planning department has received are concerns that noise from the trucks causes sleep deprivation and this would make the problem worse.
Residents argue there is no evidence to say movements during the day need to be reduced and the considerations are commercial.
Any representations should be with the council by August 8.
