The long-established Hepton Singers, whose members stretch from Huddersfield to Littleborough, are hosting a benefit evening for the Calder Valley Flood Relief Fund on Saturday, September 8.
The concert will be staged at the Fielden Centre in Todmorden, where the choir and a collection of its musical friends will be performing an eclectic mix of choral, folk and jazz, rounding off with the Peaceworks Band and a ceilidh.
Sue Pemsel, a member of the Hepton Singers, said the collective would go under the name of the Ark Angels for this one-off event.
She added: “Among the musicians who have pledged their support to raise money for flood victims are Accapellaholics, Due Voci, Bright Shiners, Alyssium, young singer/guitarist Jenny Doyle, Gamut, a five-piece jazz fusion outfit, the wonderful Dave Nelson and more.
“If you enjoy a medley of first-rate music and want to pledge your ongoing support for flood relief please come along to what promises to be an event like no other.”
Tickets are £5 and a supper is included in the price.
