Work to bring fibre broadband to Todmorden is set to be completed by January 2014 after the rollout was delayed earlier this year.
The project, which will result in faster speeds, was scheduled to go-ahead this month.
A BT spokesperson said: “Work to bring fibre broadband to Todmorden is proving to be complicated and, as with any major civil engineering project, delays can be encountered.
“The good news is the delay is going to be considerably shorter than outlined and we expect the first customers to ‘go live’ in late December/January.
“We have completed all the planning and survey work and have very recently submitted our plans to the highways authority for approval.
“As soon as approval is granted we will get to work on the necessary civil engineering work.”
