Busy summer for Legacy events

It looks set to be a super summer as a funsraising appeal gears up to host new events.

The family of Andrew and Nathan Greenwood, aged 10 and mine, respectively are aiming to raise £6,000 to enable the two to continue with life changing therapy.

The boys have cerebral palsy and have been attending The Legacy Rainbow House in Lancashire for specialist treatment for the past eight years. Each visiting family has been asked to raise £3,000 per child to help fund its work.

June will sees the launch of a car boot sale at the Hare and Hounds car park, Burnley Road, Todmorden. It will take place from 10am to 2pm on the last Sunday of every month until September and costs £7 a pitch, or £20 if you book for all four events.

And a crown green bowling tournament will be held at Centre Vale Park, Todmorden. The doubles round is on July 8 at £5 a pair, followed by the singles on July 15 at £3. All ages and abilities welcome, the check in is at 10.30am for 11am start.
