Cake raises £70 for NW Air Ambulance

Local slimmers proved you can have your cake and eat it - all in a good cause - with a pre-Christmas raffle.

Although a rich Christmas cake is not necessarily very Slimming World friendly but members can have occasional treats as well as sticking to their plans.

The Todmorden Slimming World group, which meets at Todmorden Cricket Club, decided to raise some money for the North West Air Ambulance.

The beautiful cake was made, iced, boxed and donated by Barbara Watts, left, and won by, Margaret Grant, centre, pictured with Slimming World co-ordinator Rachel Firth, right The group raised raised £70 for North West Air Ambulance when it was raffled off.

Margaret was set to enjoy the cake with her family but kept an eye on her plan too, gifting some of the cake to her cousin.
