Canine capers took centre stage at the annual Christmas charity dog walk in Todmorden.

The fundraising event held at Centre Vale Park was led by the Mayor of Todmorden Coun Michael Gill and raised money for Independent Living and the Hippodrome Theatre.

Michael said: “It went very well. We had a great attendance - around 39 dogs, and their owners. There was one dog even dressed as Rudolph!”

Dogs and their owners made the most of the bright blue skies and joined in on the leisurely walks around the park, with many dogs even showing off their best pooch attire in fancy dress.

Some dogs donned reindeer ears to get into the festive spirit.

Christmas presents and dog treats were sold at the event to get into the festive spirit.
