A FOOD producer will start 2013 by showing off its cheeses to a Royal visitor.
Princess Anne will visit Pextenement Cheese Company, Eastwood, on Wednesday, January 9, to meet the team and see how its cheeses are produced.
Carl Warburton, of Pextenement Cheese Company, said it will be a great way to start the new year and he is looking forward to showing the Princess around the facilities.
“Hopefully she can help us spread the word about Todmorden,” he said.
It will be the second time Carl has met a member of the Royal Family. He served up some of his cheeses for Prince Charles when he came to Todmorden a couple of years ago.
News of the Royal visit was announced last week on the British Monarchy’s official website.
The Princess Royal will be spending the day in West Yorkshire, calling in at Pextenement Cheese Company and an organisation in Leeds.
