Coffee morning in aid of eye hospital

THE members of St John Fellowship, Todmorden, are holding a coffee morning on Saturday, October 15, to raise money for the Eye Hospital in Jerusalem.

The event, held at Central Methodist Church. Bramsche Square, Todmorden, will run from 10am until noon.

The hospital, in Gaza, opened in 1960 and provides the only eye treatment for more than three million people.

It treated more than 19,000 patients in 2010.

Two outreach mobile vehicles have treated 9,443 patients so far.

A spokesperson for the fellowship said: “We know how supportive the people of Todmorden are and we urge you to come and support the hospital on Saturday.

“Thank you so much.”
