AN Amnestea party is being hosted in the Calder Valley on Friday, November 11, and the organisers would like local people to come along and share in the fun.
Sharon Gibson, Kate Ormsby and Jez Tweed will be hosting the event in aid of Amnesty International from 9.30am to 11.30am at Holme Street Arts Centre (next to Hebden Bridge Post Office) and they are inviting everyone along to partake in some tasty treats and a cuppa to raise money for human rights.
Sharon said: “Amnesty is 50 years old this year and we hope people wil come and help us raise funds for them. We will be serving tea and cake and there will be second hand stalls and a raffle. Lots of local businesses have donated brilliant prizes. There will be lots of Duplo to keep kids happy too!”
Anyone wanting to donate a raffle prize or goods for the second hand stalls can contact Sharon on 01422 845273.
