Man, 60, arrested for drink driving

A 60-year-old man has been charged with drink driving after being stopped in Todmorden.

PC Phil Eastwood and special constables Dan Healey were conducting speed checks on Halifax Road on Saturday afternoon when they stopped the driver who had been driving erratically.

He was breath tested, failed and will now appear at Calderdale Magistrates Court.

Another driver in Ovenden was also arrested for being over the drink drive limit after failing to stop for police.

And a 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft in Sowerby Bridge. The driver was stopped after being spotted running a red light.
