Cubs linked up with a Calder Valley activity centre to raise awareness of and money for Epilepsy Action’s “Purple Day”.

The youngsters, from the 20th Calder Valley Cubs, one of whom suffers with epilepsy, set out with the aim to climb higher than the Purple Mountain in China, which is 450 metres high, using Robinwood Activity Centre’s climbing wall, with the Todmorden centre’s instructors on hand to help and advise. By the end of the night, they had climbed a total of 525 metres, smashing their fundraising target and raising much needed cash to support the work of Epilepsy Action in the UK.
