MORE than 70 people gathered for Age Concern’s spring party.

Those who attended the party at the Fielden Centre, Todmorden, had an afternoon tea served by Age Concern volunteers while singer David Humphreys provided entertainment.

Catherine Rosborough, from Age Concern, said: “He really got the party going and had people dancing in the aisles.”

There was also a visit by two special guests – former Mayor of Todmorden Coun Margareta Holmstedt and Mayoress Dorothy Jordan, who were in office at the time but have since stepped down as the civic heads.

l Age Concern’s new ‘Knit and natter’ group will next meet at Central Methodist Church on Wednesday July 13 at 1.30pm. All welcome. Refreshments available.
