TWENTY Christmas trees decorated on a Christmas carol theme will be on display at the St Michael’s Church Christmas tree festival over two days this weekend.
The tree festival sees them decorated by parishoners and local groups, each representing a carol, and mirrors the seasonal summer flower festival held at the church.
The winter event will also feature much more going on, with something to appeal to all the family.
It runs from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, December 10, and from 10am to 3pm on Sunday, December 11, at the church, Burnley Road, Cornholme, and at 3pm on the Sunday a thanksgiving service will be held.
Children will be able to visit Father Christmas at the festival, which will also feature a host of stalls, such as home made produce, and games, including guess the weight of a cake.
Home-cooked lunches and teas will also be available.
