A young musician met a TV legend while filming for a CBBC show.

Beatrice Hooper, a year seven student at Todmorden High School, will be among the cast of Hank Zipzer, based on the book by Happy Days star Henry Winkler - aka The Fonz.

Beatrice, 12, who plays her cornet in several scenes in the drama, said it was a nerve-wracking but enjoyable experience.

“It was really fun being on set all the time,” she said.

“I really like drama.

“It was a bit nerve-wracking being in front of a camera.

“We met Henry Winkler and he signed a copy of his book and signed our music.

“I’m going to get that framed.”

The filming took place at the former St Catherine’s High School, Halifax, and she got involved in the project through Calderdale Music Service.

The former Heptonstall School pupil has been playing the cornet for three years and is a member of the Calderdale Youth Brass Band.
