April’s exhibition at Todmorden Information Centre is a fascinating look at the lives and landscapes of the Middle East.
Local photographer June Liveley spent many years teaching in the Middle East and Ethiopia, which allowed her to immerse herself fully in the culture of the region.
When June wasn’t teaching she was out taking photographs, something that she loves to do. June said, “Not many of us have the chance to live and work in those areas, I was lucky enough to get the chance and I loved the places and the people!”
She believes her photographs “are a reflection of the beauty that can be found.” The exhibition runs until the end of April.
TIC manager, Jacqui Davies, said the centre was now open seven days a week until the end of September.
If anyone is interested in exhibiting at Todmorden Information Centre they should contact the manager in person, by ringing 01706 818181 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org as there are still places available in 2011.
