THERE will be fun for all the family at a school’s open day next week.

Ferney Lee Primary School, Todmorden, is inviting parents to come and have a look around its foundation stage facilities during the open day on Thursday, May 31.

There will be a children’s entertainer, a bouncy castle and refreshments at the event, which runs from 1.30pm until 3pm.

Teacher Ben Tierney said: “We are getting a lot of positive feedback at the moment and we want to open it up for everyone to see.

“Our ethos is children learning through play, learning in a much more creative fashion.

“Because the school building is so big, we have lots of space and can incorporate that in our ethos.”

The school is offering free full-time places for children who are three-years-old before August 31, 2012.

“Please come and have a look at us,” Mr Tierney said.
