Four-legged friends star in a fun show

Calder Valley horse and pony riders will be welcoming some other four-legged friends for a charity fun show on Saturday, August 3, from 10am.

It is free to enter, so people are invited up to Sourhall, Todmorden, when Pennine Riding Club host a riding and dog show at their show field next to the former Sourhall pub.

Donations will be welcomed and are earmarked for two charities, the Horse and Pony Protection Association and Tia Greyhound Rescue.

Joan Walsh, of the club, said: “It’s a fun show with ridden, in-hand and novelty horse classes and the dog show will have classes like ‘best biscuit catcher’, ‘friendliest dog’ plus some agility, and there will be some stalls too.

“We’d love people to come along and watch. It’s something completely different.”
