GET ready for four days packed full of festive fun for all the family.

On Friday - aka the eighth day of Todmas - a late night market will run on Todmorden Market featuring Santa in his grotto, Todmorden Community Brass Band and the Samba Band playing music around town, and school choirs singing in the streets.

There will also be street entertainment and a wide range of stalls open until 8pm.

Incredible Edible Todmorden will be holding its community “on the spot” Christmas dinner from 5-7pm.

There will be cooking demonstrations, free samples of festive food and goodie bags to take home.

Starting at the Hippodrome Theatre at 7.30pm, TAODS proudly presents Wardle Anderson Brass as the band returns for its second annual fundraising Christmas concert. Tickets are available from Todmorden Information Centre or online at www.todhip.org.

On Saturday, the ninth day of Todmas, Todmorden Community Brass Band will play around the market between 10am and noon.

Youngsters in key stage two (years three to six) are invited to the first Todmorden Children’s Christmas Ball at the town hall from 2-4pm.

Tickets are available from the Overgate Hospice shop on Halifax Road, the Crumbly Cheese stall on the market, Heaven Above Nail Bar and P and S Stationery.

Sunday, the tenth day of Todmas, begins with Todmorden Community Brass Band performing carols at Morrisons at 11am.

The West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service Pipe Band will play at the market at 1pm.

St Mary’s Church holds its traditional advent service at 4pm.

Todmorden Choral Society and Todmorden Orchestra will give their annual Christmas concert at the town hall at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Todmorden Information Centre.

Thursday - the 11th day of Todmas - will include a big screen showing of “The Polar Express” at the Hippodrome at 11am, followed by “Miracle on 34th Street” at 2pm. Free entry. Donations welcome.
