CHILDREN gunged a teacher and lobbed loo rolls at a summer fair.

There was a range of fun activities at Walsden St Peter’s School’s end of term event, organised by the Friends of Walsden, the school’s parent and teacher association.

The fair was attended by lots of people from the local community, including some of the children who will be starting at the school in September.

Headteacher Peter Stevenson said: “It was a great success. We had some new stalls this year and they were very popular, including ‘Lob a loo roll’, which we think we’ve probably invented!

“Everyone worked really hard and I’m always grateful to parents, friends and staff who give up their time on the day and don’t really get to experience the fair themselves because they’re so busy.”

The fair raised just under £1,000, which the Friends will use to subsidise the cost of school trips, new cameras and other school equipment.
