Beard and barnet will get the chop tomorrow (Saturday) evening as Josiah Knight raises cash for charity and helps a child with cancer, writes Joy Rooney.
Josiah, 26, from Todmorden, will have his long locks shorn and will see his chin for the first time in six years as he faces scissors and razor.
He will give money raised from having his head shaved to Children in Need while sending his luxurious locks to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides wigs to young children who have lost their own hair due to treatment for cancer.
Monica Glass, of the trust, said: “We are very grateful to Josiah for his wonderful hair donation.
“Josiah’s hair donation will hopefully form part of a wig that we will then provide free of charge to a child that has sadly lost their own hair through cancer treatment.”
Josiah said: “A lot of people seem very enthusiastic to see me without my beard.”
