An adviser completed a triathlon around the hills above Todmorden last weekend to raise money for a children’s charity.

Jonothan Wright cycled 100km, ran 25km and swam 1.25km as part of the challenge in aid of I CAN, a children’s communication charity.

Jonothan, of Todmorden, was unable to do much preparation for the event as he was recovering from Lyme disease.

But with the support of fellow Todmorden Harriers and other friends, he overcame adversity - and poor weather conditions - to complete the challenge and raise funds for the charity for which he works.

Jonothan thanked everyone who has already donated towards his fundraising efforts.

He is aiming to reach his target of £1,000.
