Police have confirmed that all roads around Hebden Bridge are open to traffic again this morning after torrential rain yesterday.

Fire crews from as far away as Elland were working in the area throughout the night to pump the water away.

The main A646 road was re-opened to the public in the early hours of this morning.

Some localised flooding remains in cellars, but police have worked to clear rubble and debris which had slid down from the hillside.

Police have also confirmed nobody was hurt during the floods, which were caused after a cloud burst.

A major clear-up operation - the second in less than three weeks - will begin this morning.

Voluntary Action Calderdale have arranged a meeting at the Co-op in Hebden Bridge at 9am to begin the clear up, with more details of other clean ups to follow.
