The wedding of Mr William Bryan Howarth and Miss Katie Louise Borders took place at The Saddleworth Hotel in Delph.
The bridegroom is the eldest son of Mr Bryan Howarth of Fairmount, Walsden, Todmorden and Miss Tracey Geoghegan, of Caldicott Close, Todmorden. He works at Navigation Supply Co, Bacup Road, Todmorden.
The bride is the only daughter of Mr Peter and Mrs Linda Borders, of Lumbutts Road, Todmorden. She is a teacher at Ling Bob Primary School, Halifax.
She was attended by bridesmaids, Miss Laura Marshall, Miss Ruth Dolman, both friends of the bride, Miss Maggie Sullivan, the bride’s niece, Miss Courtney Beier, the bridegroom’s cousin, and ring bearer Master Alfie Sullivan, the bride’s nephew.
The best man was Mr Anthony Law and ushers were Mr Paul Sullivan, the bride’s brother, and Mr Edward Howarth, the bridegroom’s brother.
The bride wore an ivory silk dress with lace detailing, Swarovski crystals and a full length train. She carried a short trailing bouquet of dendrobium orchids, white akito roses and white freesia lissianthus.
The two older bridesmaids wore blue full length sleeveless chiffon dresses and the younger bridesmaids wore floor-length ivory silk dresses with a blue sash.
A reception was held at the Saddleworth Hotel for family and friends of the couple. They will honeymoon in the South of France and New York.
