Hospice benefits from Bay challenge

WALKING Morecambe Bay has seen a former Todmorden town councillor raise more than £80, which she hopes will rise to £100 when all the sponsor money is in, for Pendleside Hospice, Burnley.

Carolann Trustlove-Smith walked the famous bay with friend Richard Burridge, also of Todmorden.

The walk took place earlier this month and Carolann, who said she had enjoyed the eight-mile walk across the bay, wanted to thank all who had contributed to the total.

“I’d like to thank my sponsors - mostly at the Platform One Gallery at Todmorden Railway Station and Steve Ashworth, Morrison’s supermarket manager and Morrison’s staff - for their support,” she said.
