Pupils in the nursery class at Shade Primary School were challenged to produce a model igloo for a class display.

The models had to be made by the children and their families, and could be made from any safe materials.

“The competition was part of our aim to share our school projects with families,” explained Mrs Hull, nursery teacher.

“The children really enjoyed making the models, helped by their parents and grandparents. ”

Each child received a certificate, an achievement medal and a chocolate goodie pack.
