In what way did the flooding affect you?

SEVERAL streets and roads in Todmorden had to be closed by police amid the flooding which hit Todmorden early on Sunday evening.

Bacup Road was closed to traffic for three hours from 7pm to 10pm while Calderdale Council staff cleaned up a surface covered in debris and damaged by the force of the water.

Well Street, behind Fielden Square, Todmorden, also had to be closed temporarilty and the council reported other areas as badly hit including Rochdale Road and Sackville Street, as well as homes along Burnley Road.

In Todmorden firefighters were also called out to the BT electrical exchange in Hall Street because the rain had set the alarm off.
