AROUND 20 families came together to celebrate the end of their journey at Todmorden Children’s Centre Nursery.
The centre held a party and graduation ceremony for all the families that are moving on to new settings.
Some of the children have attended the setting since they were babies and have grown and flourished with the centre since it opened.
The children and parents and carers joined in with traditional party games such as pass the parcel and musical bumps. The centre then held a graduation ceremony where the children wore hats and were presented with scrolls.
The children were introduced individually by staff who spoke of each child with true insight of their personalities.
Parents and carers enjoyed this celebration and clearly felt proud of their child’s accomplishments.
One said: “This is a fabulous idea, really thoughtful and enjoyable for children and their families.
“Hope this tradition continues. Thanks!”
Staff said a big thank you to the families for letting them be a part of their child’s journey so far - and wished them all the best for the future.
