May was a foodie month, with the farm attending the Love Your Market week celebration.
A great event followed by Sunday at the Fantastic food show in Burnley. Michealea and Helena cooked up a feast of wild garlic pesto and foraged sorrel ravioli, and served tasters of Japanese knotweed Jam, several celebrity chefs were impressed with these unusual delights.
This year the Incredible Farm was invited into the Skills and Education tent due to our work with apprentices, and our popular courses. Jed and Mike offered people edible flowers to taste, and talked about fruit trees and foraging, there was a lot of interest in the farm and our courses, things are getting busy down at the farm now the sun has finally decided to make an appearance.
Back at the farm Jed and Jonathan are getting busy with their micro farm and have been given an area to themselves. They have chosen to start a chilli farm and hope to turn their produce into a Todmorden chilli sauce.
