A BUSINESSMAN has returned to Todmorden and is spicing up life again on the outdoor market.
Jeff Thomson moved his Curried Away business to Clitheroe last year but is now back in Todmorden and preparing a range of traditional Asian food, all of which is made locally.
“Unfortunately Ribble Valley Council did not offer the support I needed to get a new ethnic food business off the ground on Clitheroe market, so I took the decision to relocate back to Calderdale’s markets,” he said.
“It’s great to be back meeting-up with traders and serving returning customers.
“Todmorden is a great local community market and deserves to be supported.”
In 2010, while trading on Todmorden, Jeff was national runner-up in the “Make your mark in markets” contest for entrepreneurship.
He can be found every Saturday and Sunday on Todmorden outdoor market, except the second Sunday when he takes part in the outdoor market in Hebden Bridge.
He specialises in selling traditional Asian fresh curries and snacks including samosas and pakora, all halal and made locally.
