PROUD families of a boy who appeared on a Boxing Day television Christmas special are delighted to hear his dream may come true.

Eight-year-old Joshua Greenwood lives at Old Town but his Greenwood and Sutcliffe grandparents and other relatives are from Todmorden, where dad Graham and mum Alex grew up.

Joshua wanted to be a real-life version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory character Willy Wonka and wrote to cult show Jim’ll Fix It hosted by Shane Richie in honour of the late Sir Jimmy Savile, asking to design and make his own chocolate bar.

He was whisked off to Nestle in York where he made “Treasure”.

Staff were so impressed by the unique design and taste of the bar, they are now looking at the possibility of putting it into shops later this year.

And Joshua isn’t the only television star in the Greenwood family.

His younger sister Katie is shortly set to appear in an episode of the CBeebies show Mr Bloom’s Nursery - scheduled to be screened next Wednesday, January 18 (10.05am and 2.05pm).
